Good Life Project Camp: A Life Changing Experience
I got home from CampGLP last night.
Such an unexpected life experience that has truly changed me.
I went to be inspired and recharged.
I’ve been self-employed for 21 years now and have never done anything like this. It sounded like a good idea. Workshops about building community mixed with arts and crafts. That’s for me, right? So, I signed up!
Leading up to it I was pretty nervous. Do I really want to head to camp with a whole bunch of people [250 to be exact] I don’t know? Am I really up for this? I mean, I work at home with just Randy and myself 24/7 this isn’t really my comfort zone. So I booked a private cabin to help my comfort level and I probably missed out on some connections not staying up all night in a bunk with other women and having bunkmates but I still think it was the right thing for me.
I didn’t expect days that started at 6am with meditation and ended long after I went to bed just before midnight and they jam packed with workshops, presentations, meet-ups, meals, and connecting with amazing people that were all doing amazing things!
I’m still decompressing.
Wow. Just Wow. I’m so lucky to have had this experience.
So glad I was brave enough to go. I learned so much for work but for my whole self too.
I will be better person from this experience. There is no doubt.

YAY! I’ve been anxious to hear how it all went. I’m so excited that you made the brave move to go and can’t wait to hear more about it. We’ll have to make a dinner date part of your decompression. 😉

I take my hat off to you Katie! It’s really something to sign up for this kind of thing on your own. Sounds and looks like loads of fun!

SO glad you braved it, Katie! This is only the beginning of more bold and exhilarating moves for you, I suspect. 🙂

Thanks so much Cynthia! I only wish I had gotten to spend more time with you one-on-one! Next year! 🙂

I work from home too, so doing something like that would totally take me out of my comfort zone as well.
That looks amazing! TFS!!!
Katie Pertiet
You would probably really enjoy something like this Sarah! And the experience has been continuing long past leaving camp with connections made! 🙂
