Practicing Gratitude : Day 19

I am grateful for botanicals.  Botanicals, specifically vintage botanicals, helped me find my true passion as an artist. I was always very interested in biology and horticulture. We just had basic biology when I was in high school but I loved it and went on to take AP Biology [which was a rare offering back then] and then went to college with the hopes of majoring in biological illustration. I thought I’d marry my two loves of art and biology. But the science course load was a bit much for me so I went on to major in graphic design. It wasn’t until years later that I really fell in love with the old masters. The botanical illustrators of the 1800s blow me away and I love collage art so taking old artworks [that are now public domain images] and evolving them into new art is my true passion. Every time I find a new image it just lights me up and I can’t wait to see where it takes me!

This year, I’m doing a simple practice of gratitude and I’ve made it easy for you to join me with two new options available in the store at DesignerDigitals.com.

Check out all of my gratitude products and join me in a 30 Day Practice of Gratitude.
