Camp Good Life Project 2015.

For the second year, I attended a camp up in the Catskills of New York for “makers, entrepreneurs and world shakers”.
Camp Good Life Project. Although it was a very different experience from my first [and their first] year, it was so so good.

I opted for a bunk instead of a private cabin this year and my friend Sam came over from South Africa to take in the experience with me! We were assigned Cabin 6 with a total of 10 women bunking together that soon became new, deeply connected friends. I didn’t know I still had it in me to stay up into the early morning hours laughing and talking and sharing stories but I did! It was one of the best parts of the experience.

We signed up for workshops ahead of time [I changed my mind a few times before arriving] and my schedule included topics like Capture the WOW!: The Power of Visual Journaling, How to Sell Yourself without Selling your Soul, Harness the Power of Recurring Revenue and more. In between were meals, meet-ups, color wars and time to make some powerful connections and take some peaceful walks around the lake too.

I feel like this camp has become an annual retreat for me. A time and place to come and reflect on myself, my business and my life’s passions. Many of those that attend are life coaches of various sorts, many are into yoga and meditation. That’s not really me but it really didn’t matter. I come to camp with an open heart and an open mind to listen and learn ways I can better myself and my business. The takeaway is huge.

After camp this year, Sam came home with me for a few days of adventuring around here and when she left I came down with a terrible cold. Just not used to going so non-stop outside the studio I suppose. But here I am nearly 10 days after camp ended and getting back to feeling normal. Looking over all the notes I took and looking forward to attending camp again next year!
